Wishing the national helicopter engine and TEI Design Center to be beneficial to the country, the nation and the aviation sector, Erdoğan thanked everyone from the Defense Industry Presidency to the TEI employees, from academics to industrialists, who took part in the engine development and production processes, for their efforts.

Turkey will be an “engine developement base”

President Erdogan said that ” in Turkey, mainly in aviation, we are approaching step by step to our goal of making the country a center in the field of the design and manufacture of the all kinds of engines.”

Emphasizing that TEI will turn into a role model in the country with the investments to be made and the capabilities to be gained within the scope of the turboshaft engine development project, Erdogan told that in the design center, engineers, would perform design, development and research activities in a much more efficient and coordinated way.

TEI is turning into a brand that designs, produces and sells engines to the world

Erdogan stated that Turkey’s TEI (the national industry organization) to become among the most important players in the international arena with the sector. He went on saying: “

“There are as little as a handful countries that have a say in engine technologies in the world. For the development of an engine, a large ecosystem of engineers and technicians has to join forces and efforts, from the software to the complimentary materials, all must work together. Thank God, TEI is turning into a brand that designs, produces and sells engines to the world. We are also establishing a very serious test infrastructure facility that can test engines of similar class. We are also developing engines of various power classes for many of our platforms. Hopefully, we will start to supply our inventories with all these engines soon.”
